I was offered a part time Internal Audit Sox Lead role for $70/hour. It’s a remote role, perm with benefits and I’m very excited for it. They offered me the exact amount that I asked for, and now I’m wondering if I did not ask for enough. I’ve never had a company offer me exactly what I asked for. Thoughts? Need advice. I’m at my first job in private accounting. Previous experience is as an auditor. I am struggling to figure out the way JEs are posted at my current company. It’s never straightforward even for simple entries. There’s things like settlements which confuse the crap out of me. I’m curious if it’s just my company or if every sophisticated accounting department will have non traditional ways of posting their journal entries.
