I have an offer for $130k for a senior attorney position in a boutique L&E firm. Also have a recruiter who thinks she can get me into another for $150-170k. Both are more than I’ve ever made (Denver, 17 yrs of experience but completely different practice areas). I’m interested in pursuing cosmetic dermatology (possible Botox and laser treatment) for the first time. I’ve done a ton of research and the derm I’m most interested in going to charges a $150 consult fee but does NOT apply that cost to any treatments you get, whereas from my research it seems like derms in my city usually do apply the consult fee to the treatments. Would you pass on her due to that additional cost, or consider it worth it to see the derm you want to see?

It's very annoying and I find it to be really inapprorpriate, maybe because it's pushy or just I find these comparative things to be a bit irrelevant. How does one handle something like that? Can you shut the person down without starting a spat?

People who are happy that the office is dead should reconsider. If the office is dead wouldn't that mean more outsourcing and less TC forward? Isn't it short sighted to think jobs will stay in the US if they are remote considering how expensive it is to hire here?
