Pay statement qn: shouldn't "rate/salary" be current base salary/24 ? Mine has a delta of ~$300

I currently work for a private automotive service company with a little over 6000 employees. I am in the treasury department, working as a cash and liquidity analyst. I have my MBA in management from a small college and two years of experience. I’m trying to figure out what would be a good salary for my experience and education.

I have submitted my resignation on Aug11th. I received a mail very next day from HR saying salary willbe put on hold for reliving month and immediate previous month will be put on hold as FNF dues.

Help,I started a new career n the events industry and I think I have to quit! The person I report to is so disorganized and there are no other managers in the office to direct day to day operations of our department. On day 2 I was asked to go to a job site and perform a 12 hour day without any training, safety equipment or tools. On day 3 I was asked back to site to do general labor! Is anyone else like this? I will not hesitate to invest/save for retirement and throw a few k into those accounts regularly, but when it comes to myself I hesitate to buy anything unless I absolutely need it? Im a minimalist and if stuff still works I will keep it. Ex- my car is 12 yrs old, most clothes are 4+ yrs old, etc. It seems like everyone else in consulting/my age (24) seems to care about having the nicest newest things.
