Planning to strategize my job hunt for 2022. How do folks feel like market will be next year for senior UX roles? It’s great now but worried about covid variants, inflation, stock market corrections and timing never works out for me. I can’t apply now as I just took on a new role earlier this year.

Cleared first round and my on-site is next week. It just came to my notice something about visa sponsorship in JD. It states “This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.” I have H1B but I would need H1b transfer and GC sponsorship. Can anyone help me out here.

I am attempting to get a promotion for a top retailer in the US. My boss has been begging me for months to take the shift and I have refused simply because it is fully overnight. From what I have heard, you have to have managerial experience in order to be considered for the manager position for that shift but we are going on 3 months without anyone being hired. I’m currently in a lease admin type role, in commercial real estate. I make a base salary of $50.5K with about $9k in bonuses. I’ve continuously received 7-10% raises over the last 3 years. I anticipate getting a promotion this year and would like to get closer to $60k for my base salary. I’m the only person in my role at the company and have been a key person in developing our team as we look to expand. Is this unreasonable? Is there a normal increase given with promotions? I wanted to share that I am in my first job as ui/ux expert and I am the only ux/ui person in the team. I am expected to take care of entire research and design of the product. It becomes very overwhelming as the product that I am working on is in a early phase and I am expected to think about ui as well as ux and also design entire app on my own.There is no user interview or user testing happening as my project manager thinks it can be done after product is launched. Please help!

I’m having a problem with micro management and design by committee starting to rear its ugly head in my company. Product team lead not trusting his design team to make design decisions, making unreasonable demands and putting undue pressure on us. Any advice on how to address this before it becomes a reason to start looking for other work?

My résumé and portfolio are great, and I’ve been asked to interview with Amazon for 4 different teams now. However, it seems like I’m not making it past the first 1:1 interview. 3 out of 4 have resulted in not the right fit for reasons unknown; they don’t provide any feedback either. I have been invited for a new interview today with another team, and I am hoping 4th time is the charm. Any tips on how to do better next time?

I went through six rounds of interviews including putting together a 30 minute presentation which I presented to the whole team. The whole process took about six weeks. I turned down another lead position at a different company waiting. After all that they told me that hiring for this role was on hold until further notice. At the end of the day it’s business, but I am left feeling like I wasted my time (and theirs.)Totally confused and disheartened by this process. Anyone else experiencing this?
