Just got a job at Deloitte M&A in Atlanta and am currently looking to buy a house. Would you advise I buy closer to Atlanta or the suburbs? I personally want to be in the suburbs but I hear the traffic situation is quite bad. Current consultants in Atlanta, how much time do you actually spend in the office vs remote vs client site? Would you advise I try and stay closer to the office?

Do you exclusively fly southwest (either for business or personal)? Typically you’d want a airline credit card for an airline you almost exclusively so you can get points multiple ways (spend, flying, etc). However if you multiple airlines you’re probably better off with a standalone Chase card (freedom, CSP, or CSR) and transfer Chase points to Southwest when you need it (transfer 1:1 or book southwest through Chase - but you have to call. Southwest doesn’t appear on their online portal). You can also transfer to other airlines and hotels, but not all airlines and hotels are chase partners.
My husband and I have had the SW card for the last 6 years bc of companion pass and bonus points. Thus we haven’t paid for a single flight in the last 6 years. Using points on SW is a million times cheaper than other airlines like Delta. Plus you can cancel flights for free at any point before take off (including precovid).
The free drink coupons...
I don't use my SW card nearly as much after getting an Amex Gold, but the perks basically cover the annual fee so I still keep it active. If you fly SW 1-2x a year I think it's worth it, especially if you're near a hub.
