8.7 yr yoe, how can I negotiate with hcl ?@hcl
Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

Now again today got call from some person for telephonic technical round. I had completed that waiting for results. What does this really mean? Am I got selected or should wait for second technical round result. Will they release offer or not. Accenture

FSO is a national region that services financial clients, not a service line. FSO SAP consulting in San Francisco will be paid similar to Tech Consulting in SF. While FSO Risk will be paid similar to Risk in SF. What is hour friend's service line and competency?
Ohh! Not sure how do they decide seniority level. Job title says senior analyst. But in the initial screening they have told my friend that the salary range for this role is $70k to $80k for San Antonio. That's why not sure expecting for 90k to 95k would be too much or too less! Any suggestions please.?
I don't think that's necessarily out of the ballpark, but it's definitely on the higher end. I guess it depends on the company.
Thanks for response!
That sounds about right from local comparisons. How many years of experience do they have?
Thanks! They have around 4 years of experience
Just as a quick note for your friend if he’s not from San Antonio: as someone who grew up in SA and now lives in Austin, San Antonio has a very low cost of living overall compared to most major cities.
I’d say $70-80k there is how $85-95k has similar spending power to Austin, just based on living/housing prices alone being that much cheaper.
