I am only 4 months into being a surgical coordinator. I love the position itself however I am struggling to adapt into my new work environment. There is also another surgical coordinator however I have come to find from other staff that there is a long history of her running other staff away and not fully training other surgical coordinator staff properly. I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. Help,I started a new career n the events industry and I think I have to quit! The person I report to is so disorganized and there are no other managers in the office to direct day to day operations of our department. On day 2 I was asked to go to a job site and perform a 12 hour day without any training, safety equipment or tools. On day 3 I was asked back to site to do general labor! I ended cutting my hand on an exacto knife and there was no first aid! Is this normal?
