No firm is objectively better. Your experience in B4 is determined 95% by your teams and clients. If the clients are horrible, the teams are bitter, and it will suck.
Oh come on. Culture is driven by office and team not firm.
When they reduced the bonus of 25% to 20% and hid this information as you had to click 7 times to read this. Pretty 🐍 culture.
No.
Someone's been drinking too much kool-aid
Chicago office is 👍
Bonus to new managers.
Hahah not at all. Gotta love the amount of backlash forced Tim to make a video answering our questions over the change in manager promotions. PwC is shady.
PWC is like a shittier version of Deloitte.
PwC has its issues but honestly everyone I've worked with has been really nice, helpful, and overall I like the culture. Not to say I haven't had some things where I'm like wtf, but there are always going to be office politics and people are human. This environment is way better than my last job and client.
Kool-aid, yes. But me, as a mid tier outsider, would like to know what people's thoughts are on this topic...
Agreed with @PwC2. I worked at bout P dubs and EY, and I have had both shitty and awesome teams
KPMG 1, care to elaborate?
Maybe PA just sucks. Advisory is great
@manager 1: probably because we're all bitter accountants that wanted to be in advisory and couldn't get in.
PwC 2, preach.
I chose pwc cause it had the best people. Can't compare to the others, but I would say the culture is toxic and prettyyyyyy awful. I'm sure the other firms are bad too but pwc has to be one of the top
Comparing cultures among B4 is kind of pointless IMO. And for the record, compensation (a la PwC manager bonus) is NOT part of culture. Compensation and benefits should be considered separately from culture.
100% agree. EY's culture is horrible
I was at PwC and culture sucked. Overworked and underpaid, even moreso than you'd expect for Big4. Not to mention the recruiters lied to me about amount of travel and contribution bonus eligibility and amount.
