Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

If you’re interested in a role why not reach out to someone in that team?
C1 Not how it works internally unfortunately- maze of politics
What’s the pay for a senior manager in Manchester ?
As someone in the firm who has seen a bunch of people move to my team… it does happen that way.
Consulting is about refreshing the book of CVs, it’s recognised that internal development can only go so far to help smooth jumps to wherever market demand is. Often externals are needed to bridge the gap. This is why I often recommend to my coachees that moving firms every 3-4 years can be the best thing to do if you want to keep yourself marketable.
What about changing every 2ish years ?
Bridging the gap I get - but at the Lower grades, the talent is there to promote up especially - yet they seem to favour experienced hires over this
They need fresh and cheaper talent
Unlikely, external hires aren’t bound to come in bottom of band, they can negotiate much higher (at least at KPMG)
Agreed, it’s crazy, although you get a ‘fresh perspective’ it comes at a much bigger risk than promoting a know entity internally
