Hi all. I am trying to determine if I am being compensated fairly. I am a tax manager (about to start my second year as manager) and have been with EY since staff 1. I was promoted to manager in June 2020 (during covid) and received a 7.5% raise. The class above me has mentioned they received much higher raises during their promotion years. My base salary is now approx. 97K. Any insights would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

That’s awesome for an S2. I was making 80K in DC a few years ago as an S2, and 95K as a manager the year after (was early promoted to senior and manager).
They’re probably giving you a high first year salary but don’t expect a huge raise next July. They’ve likely built in your raise next year to your starting salary. Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take it, but something to consider.
Appreciate the advice.
Same city or moving? Sounds like you are 2 years away from making this much at your current firm. I would jump.
Yeah same city
Sounds good to me
I wasn’t even making that as M1 in Chicago.
Take it if you don't mind working at B4
Wow, that seems great! Are you a CPA or JD? I would take it and not look back.
Just a CPA
Just curious how long have you been in iTax for?
