No one from PwC has contacted me about any layoffs.
Go to bed.
Yes
No
Lol shit wrong post, probably yes
Laugh it up D1...looks like they are coming to DC, too.
What gives you this feeling?
There's another round coming in October guys. Before bonus pay out. My RP told me so "in confidence" crooked SOBs.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't most people getting cut also not be scheduled for a bonus anyway? Not saying it isn't a dick move. @P3, did you get a sense if which group(s) need to get the Vaseline ready?
Following
@unsanctioned not necessarily. There are likely to be people who are bonus eligible who get let go before the payout. What gives me this feeling? Oh, I don't know...the poor utilization that a number of practices have right now, hearing comments from partners like "we're having to make dime tough decisions around our people, so stay utilized as much as possible", the bad behavior that is being exhibited on potential work and who would "own" it (like throwing chum into a shark tank)...stuff like that.
*dime = some
If there are people who were awarded bonuses who get let go before they're paid out, there is no way the firm would not go ahead and pay out on the bonuses. Besides possible legal claims, that would be a PR nightmare, not to mention the impact on recruitment.
You have to be employed by the firm at the time the bonuses are paid out in order to receive them. I seriously don't think "impact on recruiting" is top of mind especially if you are laying people off.
^thats what everyone said they wouldn't do to campus hires but myself and about the 100 others from advisory were all laid off. Nothing is beneath these people!
P3,so you were told you would get a bonus, then laid off, and then specifically told you wouldn't be getting the bonus you were previously awarded?
From what I've heard, no... But plenty can happen in various niche leadership groups.
Yes. I was a tier 3 and entitled to a paltry 1300 bonus. Was let go a few weeks after my CRT
P3, how long had you been with the firm?
One year and hired right out of college.
