Has anyone interviewed with Amazon in the last 6 months. I finished my loop for a finance role. It’s been 8 business days and no update from the recruiter. I mailed the recruiter who said apologies for the delay but we will get back to you with next steps. Has anyone had this experience and what was the outcome Amazon

It could be any number of things, something as simple as streamline formatting is huge in my eyes. Longevity in a position. Mm/yy for position dates. And under positions, not just a bullet list of the job description, but a description of a specific project or projects you've worked on. Being in IT, I know, no recruiter wants to see regurgitated information.
Thanks! That is good to know that small details can take you far!
I always love seeing relevant volunteering work or extracurricular activities that show the candidate has developed additional skills or experience outside their professional life.
Any quantifiable achievements or metrics on a resume always grab my attention. Seeing specific numbers or results gives me a sense of the candidate's impact and success in previous roles.
One of the things that stands out to me is when a candidate has taken the time to tailor their resume and cover letter to the specific role they are applying for. It shows they have researched and are genuinely interested in the position.
If a candidate has relevant industry certifications or completed additional coursework or training, that can be a major green flag. It shows they have a commitment to continued learning and development in their field.

Has a degree that’s relevant to their job
Plain black and white resumes with no graphics
Neat bullets on projects they have worked on that are relevant to the job they’re applying to
Graduate degrees always a plus (especially if relevant to the job they’re applying to)
Depends on the role but I look for good indicators of personal growth from role to role.
This is my personal one too, I think it speaks a lot about a candidate
When a candidate has a clear and consistent career trajectory, it shows me they have a goal in mind and are taking steps to achieve it. That level of focus and dedication is a green flag for me.
Years of experience with a reasonable duration of stay in all of the companies the applicant have worked for. Education, certifications and additional skills.
