Hi sales engineers, I’m currently a cloud security engineer with a cybersecurity background. I am pretty recent graduate and am passionate about sales engineering but have struggled to get my foot in the door in this field. Seems like every job out there is like 5+ years experience. Any advice for how to get in this field with little experience?

I’ve been in the banking industry for about 5 years now since I graduated and I feel like this may not be the right industry for me. I have experience in commercial banking and commercial real estate lending. Where do people go after they leave banking? I’m trying to see how I can transfer my skills to another field.

Anyone have slow months where you burn through a lot of your allotted pro bono/professional development hours to keep hitting minimum daily hours? The past few weeks have been like this for me. Should I be concerned (I.e., will this reflect poorly on me, come review time? Will I have dug myself too much of a hole if I keep burning my non-billable hours?) My therapist just told me I'm depressed..do you ever feel like they tell you things you hear a lot or could have figured out on your own? Like take care of yourself, it's ok to feel such and such, etc. I'm still newer to therapy so wondering if that's the common experience? I am currently working on my MBA in a professional evening and weekend program at a highly accredited university. I am thinking about transferring to a much smaller private online program, specifically because they offer a concentration in organizational health, which directly builds on my doctoral research. Does great depth and specialization outweigh the value of a highly respected generalist degree?
