I am a graduating student who just got offered 65k for a solution analyst role at Deloitte USDC (Data Engineering Focus). From reading previous posts it seems to be a lot of negative thoughts surrounding the USDC, but straight out of college is this a good opportunity?
I'm looking to gain as much experience as possible out of college in an IT role and wondering what exit opportunities may be in place a year or two down the road if there is little/slow progression.

Not really. A lack of common courtesy and respect is about the brightest red flag there is imo.
Try not to judge them all based on this HR person but, wow, if ever someone needs to be out front and pushing great impressions its the HR folks. Chalk it up to a bad day but if it repeats with others then you’ve got a culture flag.
(2/2) to see if it was a good time. Nothing. I found it incredibly rude. Am I overreacting?
Consider it a gift. People should be on their best behavior during both sides of an interview. Clearly not a good cultural fit. You are better than that shit. Onwards and upwards. You’ve got this
Thanks VP1. Will see how it plays out. And thanks GAD1. Job market being what it is can't afford to write them off completely but they are definitely at the bottom of the list.
Not that this is really acceptable behavior by anyone, but what was the title of the person in question? And would you be working directly with them?
Did this person now they were late? Was it a c suite or md type person? In my experience they are always late for everything
I had a Monday interview canceled Friday night after I reached out to them as the meeting was set a couple of weeks ago and I hadn’t heard from the EA again. Eventually was told the person was now in meetings so needed to reschedule to end of week. Didn’t get confirmation again until Monday. I haven’t counted them out yet but alarm bells are there.
@ACD--they gave no indication that they realized they were late. But this was co firmed and I accepted the invite I received from them with the correct time. Can't imagine they didn't know.
@MD--the meeting was with the VP of HR. So I wouldn't be reporting to them. Next stop would be with the senior leadership team.
Was it Amazon?
BBDO was horrible with this. I just stopped responding after it happened the third time
Work your ass off to get the offer, and then respond a month later to reject it. That’ll teach those sorry muthafuckas
