Random, but best work travel fails you've seen? Summer associate, told him the client name, said we're meeting in Rochester NY. He calls, says taxi won't take him to client site- he landed in LGA.

Hahahahaha as someone from Rochester who used to be constantly asked if I spend weekends in the city (it's 5.5 hours away) this is incredible

Experienced: booked a late flight and didn't bother checking how late an airport in small town Georgia was open (I assumed airports were always open). Landed, they lock me out, can't get a rental car. No Uber/Lyft--obviously. Started walking down a dark empty highway, wearing a suit and tie, dragging my luggage, to my hotel 5 miles away. Fortunately a confused highway patrol came across me after only about 15 minutes, had a good laugh, and drove me to the hotel.

Hi Fishes,

Need your honest opinions, I have offers from India (InMobi) and Luxoft, Poland.
India offer is 10% more as compared to Poland one in terms of CTC, India offer has handsome joining bonus and stocks as well
My aspiration is to work in abroad & travel , but not feeling comfortable to go with a lower salary there
I am a Cloud & DevOps Professional with 7.5 YOE
If I miss this Poland opportunity now, do you think I will have possibilities of getting onsite jobs in future at this level?

Random question for anyone who has ever exchanged/gotten a replacement away travel suitcase. Is there any flexibility to get a different color? My interior zipper broke and I stopped in a store to ask if they do repairs and they said to bring it in and they’ll just replace it. I wouldn’t hate switching the color but feel weird asking for some reason

I work for a small agency and manage our internal marketing acct. We had very few processes in place when I started. I’ve since created, implemented, and trained our dept. on project mgmt for clients and am trying to convince the owner to apply those principles to our internal jobs. They are resistant because they just want the work to be done and don’t “want to keep spending money on internal jobs”. I’m confused because we’re doing the work either way and “spending” in labor/resources.

My last therapist keeps coming up in my mind. I left her when I moved to a new area before COVID dug in and frankly it felt like leaving a girlfriend. She also disclosed in the final session that she was a member of AA and knew several of the people I occasionally discussed from the rooms. Her knowledge of the program certainly built trust with me early on, but it has been two years. I discussed it with my current therapist but she’s still in there. Any advice?

I have a promising interview at a relatively large law firm in my area (+100 attorneys) next week. The position is for a transactional role in their real estate practice group, and they are seeking someone with at least 2 YOE. I have a bit over 7 YOE with a strong real estate/commercial lit. background. Over the past two years in my current position, I've been doing a lot more transactional work. The split is around 50% transactional and 50% lit.
