Hi folks, I've accepted an offer from Monitor Deloitte as a Strategy Consultant. Although in the offer letter, the name of the company is Deloitte India LLP. Just wondering if anyone else has gone through the process and is currently working at Monitor. I wanted to understand about the projects, hierarchy and overall culture at Monitor. My base location is Gurgaon. Deloitte India Deloitte Monitor Deloitte Deloitte USI

I thought the going rate for data scientists was like 300-400k
i was hoping to go from deloitte to microsoft eventually 😁
That’s a pretty decent offer I’d say
I should add that I’ll be working from the Raleigh NC office
GPS or Comm?
That seems kinda low? I’m a Data Analyst, working for Business Services (Lowest Paid in PwC). I never work more than 8 hours a day and never worked during weekends, and I make that! For a Data Scientist + Consultant (less WLB) I’d ask for way more. Just my $0.02. Good luck.

Renegotiate? What was the initial offer?
It's a decent offer. At Consultant level, you could stretch it out to maybe 130k but not much past that. With high ratings, you will also get 15-20k bonus.
So your TC would be about 145-150k.
What is your years of experience and education background. If you come in as SC then you have a wide band because SC band goes all the way to 185k base (I am in S&A and know SCs above 175k base).
I got an offer for them as a data analyst for more than that. I think you should ask for more
That makes sense. Your offer and OPs offer is the same.
There is no data scientist title in S&A, the OP will be a consultant with S&A, either in Analytics & Cognitive or Applied AI & DataOps.
What is you YOE ?
3 yrs 5months
I think it's a good offer then. 125k is solid for 3 YOE and Consultant is the right level (it's the second level).

Office does not matter.
OP, you know Python and R? Fluent in both?
EY1 - that's absolute BS. No data scientist should know LC Python. That's a different (not superior) brand of coding. LC problems are designed to make you think like an engineer and develop logical and highly optimised code. Data scientists use a different brand of Python. They ought to be more familiar with different packages, libraries, how to analyze data, charting, graphing, creating ML models, validating them etc. LC is of absolutely no help to data scientists. And by no yardstick, is LC hard the gold standard of Python fluency.
Pretty good numbers! I'm a C in data analytics and engineering. Joined a year ago. $115k with $10k joining. Should've negotiated, damn.
Same :/
OP people are shutting these numbers but fact is top of the C band is 125-130. This is a great offer
This gotta be GPS
