Recently had an instance of a sexual assault claim being filed against one of our officers and to be honest I can't say it's one of those automatic question marks. Like, it's more likely than not from the demeanor I've seen, but I don't know the guy well and the people who are close to him say that he's been targeted. It's just he's an easy target. Anyone, let's hope the investigation does its job.

Sexual predators who are caught, are generally offenders who were successful in the past doing such things. Statistics show they are usually close friends, family members or acquaintance within victims circle. I suggest there be no commentary or conversations about these issues with close parties at work as this could potentially create a toxic environment for present/past victims. This is a very precarious issue because, generally, no one suspected the offender. Building trust is what they do.

Now this isn’t to say that we should be suspicious of people who seek to build trust. Rather, such hurtful intentions are, at best and sadly, unknowable to anyone.

People have faces that they hide from the world. It takes a lot for a person to file a SHARP claim when you actually think about it. The victims hardly ever lie.

That's true. It feels unbelievable walking through it and seeing someone you know accused, but you're right...

Unfortunately I think that sexual assault in the military is getting worse, and there has been a lot of confidence lost in the delay or drop in persecuting the offenders. So yes, here's hoping that the investigation brings everything to light.

Yes, even though it feels pretty uncomfortable to witness the whole thing happening, I genuinely hope the investigation brings the truth to light.

I've heard a couple of things about how the partner pension amount @ PwC is determined, both similar in approach.

Both calculations I have heard of result in an annuity paid until death, at which point a surviving spouse (if any) receives the annuity.

The first calculation I have heard is that you get 80% of your highest earning year as a partner (e.g. If your best year was $1M, you'd get $800k as an annuity).

The second calculation I have heard is that they look at your three highest earning years as a partner, and take the second highest and you get 100% of that. (e.g if your three highest earning years were $1M, $800k, and $1.2M, you'd receive $1M as an annuity).

Is ANY of this true, or just all rumor? Any PwC partners that can chime in and explain the pension plan fact for fact? Perhaps with sample numbers?
