Thankfully in my new company, yes. I was expected to be chained to my desk at my previous one — it was ridiculous.

No. My group was told that SkanAI is being installed. As a result, there is no flexibility at all- just continuous monitoring. SMH
That’s why you get a hybrid job culture. You don’t work for a fully remote company and expect not to be monitored if you’re anything other than the VP or higher.
I have a good team, so I can go out for a bit todo some personal things. I don’t do it often, but I do have that flexibility.

Definitely. If it will take more than an hour, I typically give my boss a heads up.
If you don’t, you should reconsider moving to the 21st century. Unfortunately most companies haven’t. If you’re effective, your job should expect at max 30 hours. If you’re work is done, your manager expects you to know how to play the game from there.
