Can I jump firms without interviewing in this market? S3 with 3 years FDD experience... not really interested in more than 1 conversation to get to to know the team. To me it's not worth the stress to go through a full interview process but if I received a competitive offer quickly, then I would seriously consider switching.
Any recommendations on good PE interview prep courses? Looking for something that you can fully complete over a week or so. Interview is supposed to cover technical questions and a couple LBO case studies
Giuliani says no Mueller interview, live or written. Their old excuse was that in a live interview Trump would be just unable not to lie. But if they won’t even *write* answers...
I'm a Deloitte Tech Strategy & Architecture Senior Consultant with a Haas MBA looking to transfer to MBB. I'm up for manager this year and appreciate that if you move over you are expected to reset to first year post-MBA but has anybody been able to negotiate maybe a 2nd year post-MBA or even a manager/PL/EM entry? What specific tech skills are MBB looking for that they would be willing to offer flexibility on starting level. Again this is for the consulting not expert tracks at MBB. Many thanks in advance!
Did anyone have a dog prior to joining their MBB, and if so, how did you manage the travel?
What does it mean when your interview goes twice as long? Ex: 1 hour instead of 30 mins? Is that a good or bad thing ?
I am planning to put my papers without any offer, and then look for offers in the next 3 months. Is it a right decision? Please guide me on this 🙏🏽
Is strategy consulting really that great or is implementation the place to be? I know MBB is trying to move into implementation so is it useless trying to stick to strategy or should I prepare myself for the future by doing delivery?
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad
I hate the anxiety and overthinking of everything after a final round interview. Fingers crossed and might have an early start to the weekend so I can clear my mind
How do you attract and retain mid-level talent when industry / FAANG pay so much more than MBB?
Anyone know what a generalist at DE Shaw might make if I have 4 years of work experience including one year in big law? It seems like a generalist can also come straight out of undergrad so…I’m not excited to go through interviews with 0 sense of the salary potential… apparently it can take multiple interviews before they give you any sense
How is the MBB consulting culture in UK? Heard it’s overall better than US, Middle East and Asia but any examples/experiences will help
Are there any examples of former Black consultants making it to C-Suite at a company? In business school, they say MBB is the C-suite factory but has this been true for Black people in the C-suite?
BCG 🐠 or anyone else who recently interviewed with BCG - is there a new interview format? If so, can someone please share this format. I saw someone mentioned online test, and math test etc. instead of case studies.
Guys what is the big step up from Associate to VP? Currently at a boutique but interviewing for a relatively big and well known bank so I am a bit clueless on how a VP would operate in a much bigger environment than mine.
Have any US 🐠 gone abroad for their MBA? Looking at LBS / HEC. Pros, cons? Not looking to exit into MBB, FAANG.
For people who have switched from Big4/Tier 2 consulting firms to MBB, what's the reason you made that switch? Also, how are you finding consulting at MBB better than your earlier consulting gigs? What according to you, is the selling point for the tier 1 consulting firms?
I want to get my start into marketing/advertising as a junior strategist and so I was wondering if anyone had tips when it comes to resume, portfolio, interviewing, etc.? Especially considering my lack of direct m/a background (mostly self-taught) compared to folks from miami ad school or vcu
I’ve been interviewing with a firm in another state that mentioned they might prefer to hire me on a “contract basis” until I’ve passed the bar in that state before giving me the permanent position. I’m still not totally sure what a “contract basis” means, though. Does anyone have any experience or insight on that?
Thinking of taking the cpa exam. Been out of school for over 5 years .. not feeling super confident. Any cpas here who could give any advice?
I had an interview with PepsiCo. I was looking for 140 to 150 salary and they said they could only do 112k. It’s a lot of money to leave on the table. I told them I don’t wanna continue with the process mainly cause I don’t wanna waste their/my time. Do other 🐠 s continue with the interview process in hopes of convincing the hiring team to offer you more money because they really like you?
Why a company offers me a salary higher than my desired one (filled in the application) 10k (including a signing bonus) ?
I’m about to turn down an in house position at a client (I actively applied for the position). Any tips on specific language I should include in my email rejecting it? I don’t actually work with the client on any matters - it’s just a firm client so not sure if this even matters?
Got the offer letter yesterday. Recruitment team agreed in 15 pct bonus on fixed pay. But offer letter does not have any mention of that. Does it come on separate letter?
Want to take advantage of the hot consulting market and get into MBB ! I'm an experienced hire with around 4yrs of work exp. Anyone willing to connect and help me with some tips and eventually a referral if things work out? Thanks :)

Hello Friends, What is the annual average hike at Deloitte USI for senior consultant in SAP and what will be the hike during promotion to Manager.
A contact in my network reached out and is requesting a referral for a role they are not qualified for. How to respond? Don’t want to burn a bridge or be offensive.
Im currently at 70K and due for promotion. Is 95K too much to expect when being promoted to Account Supervisor internally? (FYI it’s Pharma)
Can someone explain how the Fly to the Finish challenge works for United 1K? The main thing I am confused about is whether the qualification is based on total PQP or only on PQP earned within the promotional period (Aug 8th - Nov 30). If total, I am already past based on the PQP they granted at the beginning of the year
