I’ve been at a boutique supply chain consulting firm for a little over a year and have primarily been working in the software/implementations space. I’m interested in more of the strategic side of supply chain with exposure to clients in retail, CPG, and technology. Any advice and/or specific firms I should look into?

Hi fishes, I have 2 offers-
Thermo Fisher for Data Engineer in AWS and Python and Ameriprise as Lead Developer for Informatica Powercenter. Ameriprise is offering 50k more in my monthly salary than Thermo Fisher. My preference is to join in where I can grow and get a good learning for future career growth. Also, work life balance should be good in the organization.

I’ve been working for a company for 25yrs, looking for advancement. I’m considered an SME, managing people, Vendors and working on large system conversions. Have provided long term goals. When requesting feedback I’m told I’m on the right path, no suggestions on what to improve. I asked about timelines for advancement and not being given anything concrete. Recently interviewed with another company as a Vendor Mgmt partner. Individual contributor, high visible position with potential. Thoughts?

Any advice on networking to find a new role? I've worked in the same place for so long and I'm not sure how to get started.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Hi- I’m an hourly AA, been on the role for 6 months now and it’s my first AA job. I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). I assist two VPs and now they want to add a third because they’re looking for the “ 3:1 ratio “. Should I ask for a raise? Is this normal? The tech job pays 15k more, but from what I can see will be a cluster and super long hours (has EU stakeholders). Maybe a pipe dream, but I want to have a "somewhat" decent wlb while still growing my career toward strategy and finance.
