Gotta be true if it’s on Reddit

That’s wrong. I read on CNN that BCG is laying off 70% of their consultants
It's true, and 25% from their UK workforce. They are shifting to a global service model. Basically utilising offshore resources to get work done at cheaper rates

Normal transition %’s are around 20%, looks like we’re targeting 20-25%
These numbers are normally balanced between voluntary/involuntary, but with the market being as it is involuntary transition is the main lever leadership has decided for maintaining pyramid ratios
Same thing happened at my firm. Less attrition so we had to freeze hiring and rescind offers.
What ??? 20%
No its fine, even if you are not you can always join Accenture since its T2

Offshoring is back
It’s true. Reviews are going to be brutal.

I'm going to guess untrue as implied. A 20% layoff next week outright seems unlikely. A gradual shift over time such that consultants in expensive markets account for a 20% smaller portion of the firm globally sounds more reasonable.

First, no, i didnt do that. Second, I don't see where you posted anything like this?

I heard something similar from someone in human capital. Would be brutal for people finding new jobs.
lmao at EY telling us how it is. 20% transition is a bit higher than normal transition cycle, nothing unexpected tbh.
