Sadly this doesn't seem like a popular topic. No one is facing ethical issues? Or is ethics just not important anymore. Serios question

Ethics issues happen all the time.

Whether there are proper structures to raise such concerns confidentially without backlash to the victim, or whether the company is able to take proper action (if the concern can be raised while protecting the victim) is usually a big question mark.

That's true. Most are ignored at PwC. Retaliation from the top is rampant

Ethics is a dangerous topic at PwC. Everything they say about it is marketing fodder. Be ethical yourself but don't escalate unethical behavior. It's dangerous to your career

If you want to escalate unethical behavior at pwc better to go straight to the regulators

I actually do think about business ethics, but in practice it’s more about legal ramifications than doing what’s right. Perhaps less people post about it so they’re not possibly identified?

Hello! I’m a clinical healthcare worker and am currently working on a master’s in finance to pivot to healthcare consulting.

I’m trying to get an internship next summer (I have the time off work) but am having difficulty finding internships for non-MBA master’s degree candidates. (I have a clinical MA and doctorate & it’s been an auto-reject from analyst internships.)

Would anyone be willing to connect for internships or work for companies that love non-traditional candidates? Thank you

I have had a lot of success in my position at my firm. Clients have been extremely open with their appreciation and desire to work with me. I have far exceeded my billing requirements by over 75-100 hours each month. What is the best way to seek a midstream raise? Also, what is a reasonable raise. From what I understand, ethics is separate from legal. Legal violations have consequences, ethical violations don’t. What’s the point of ethics if there are no consequences? Sure when it’s convenient to be ethnical, everyone will be. It only matters when it’s not convenient. So should there be ethics set up with consequences like loss of job that applies evenly for everyone in the company including the CEO? Should their be financial consequences set up for smaller violations?

Hi everyone, wanted to come back and talk about the work environment at the Washington Redskins/Football Club -- the Washington Post story was pretty jaw dropping. One troubling angle was the use of NDAs to stifle victims. NDAs have for too long enabled bad behavior to continue, and it's time companies pledged to stop using NDAs in settlements with victims -- the coverup is worse than the bad acts. I think Warren torpedoed Bloomberg's campaign due to his use of NDAs. Thoughts?

I’ve long disliked the term ethics. Definitions of ethics all refer to morals. Morals are very personal and vary a lot from person to person, culture to culture. Law is how we as a society express our preferences and impose rules and restrictions on ourselves. So the question should never be about whether companies can be ethical. What does that mean? One person thinks eating meat is unethical, another thinks it’s perfectly ethical. Companies should focus on complying with the law.
