Deloitte 🐠, Qq about the well-being subsidy- how exactly is it paid out? I entered a 60$ well being expense and on our paycheck last week it appeared as an extra line gross income “well being subsidy” for $60.00, but then also showed up under deductions as “well being subsidy” for $60.00, I tried to reconciled the amount but it seems like I actually didn’t get the money? Any insight here?
Northwest Indiana. Suburb of Chicago but get the benefit of low taxes/cost of living being in Indiana and the benefits of Chicago. Depending which one town in NWI you’re 25-40min drive with traffic into the loop. Lake Michigan shoreline with the Dunes national park. Also situated an easy 1-2 hr drive from beautiful southwest Michigan and it’s lakefront towns/wineries/distilleries. Good school districts and the state of Indiana is filled with great universities both public and private. Hidden gem forsure.
Lol
Arlington, VA 💕
Quick access to DC (4 miles).
Close to DCA airport and two other airports.
Top ranked schools for K-12 & universities.
Diverse.
Access to other large cities for weekend trips.
Access to beautiful nature and hiking trails.
Access to cultural events (especially free events).
5 season weather that’s not too extreme.
It really is perfect, just too expensive. Not surprised Amazon made it is second home. Was really hoping for it to stay a secret.
A2: Winter, spring, summer, hell, fall
Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. Great weather, (relatively) low property prices, major airports and no state income tax.
Miami is too corrupt and overpriced. Besides the beach, there isn't much to do to enjoy nature with the lack of parks. And the beach is to be avoided at all costs during major holidays/spring break anyway.
Houston, TX - cheap, freakin amazing food, accessible to the whole country - direct flights coz United hub.
Pros - driver’s paradise - love doing 80 on 65, no harsh winters - only fake winters
Cons - it’s TX, hot af, agression on the road is real
Diversity is great and tacos are 🔥
I want to live in the mountains so I can hike, mountain bike, and ski without the drive. It could be anywhere in the west.

I'm from Seattle and live in SoCal
Close enough to visit whenever...but not all the time. That's the sweet spot.
Ooof. Tough call. I think Alexandria, Va. Great access to DC, easy train to Nyc and close to DCA and IAD. Plus a pretty place with nice people
Alexandria is not ghetto… y’all haven’t been to a real ghetto..
Jackson, WY. Also no state income tax and world class winter sports and fly fishing
Equality or inequality?
Hilton Head, SC
I have a little place there right on the beach that I love!!

You mean the guy that lied about getting into military academies, has never had a job, and continues to claim, w/o evidence, that democrats stole the election??? That guy??

Gosh as someone who grew up in Hawai'i, it's Kauai not Kawaii. Don't mean to be that guy but just had to speak up

NYC 😔😩 yeah I know, I know… but, it’s enough to have a good life here and it’s my home
Queenstown, New Zealand
It’s amazing how many people here are just saying random cities or towns that are nowhere near a beach. My answer is anywhere I can have a beach within minutes. I’m thinking St. Petersburg, FL, Charlotte, SC, Jacksonville, FL, San Diego, CA, etc.
MS so what cities are ok then? With the recent climate issues CA and NY are both out too obviously
Bar Harbor Maine. Plenty of money to buy whatever I want, run the boat in summer, ski the winters, and enjoy the view all year round
I’m from Maine originally, the biggest complaint about that area is your closest city is Bangor which is very underwhelming, but southern Maine is great. Bar Harbor is also a bit of a ghost town in the winter months.
I’d say Memphis but on that salary probably Nashville. No state income tax, low housing costs, great nature scene if you’re into that, reasonable state/local politics
Nashville politics are very moderate IMO. it’s outside the metro area where you get fairly conservative quickly but I think this bowl leans a little bit progressive
Madison WI. Went to school there and the town is amazing (don’t mind the winters)
Madison is great! Hidden gem.
