I just joined a late-stage pre IPO startup and I’m not very happy with the work. The work itself isn’t exactly what I was sold during my interviews, and my manager took pto before onboarding me. I’m now left without any guidance, but he sends random ad hoc tasks my way without having given me the context. (Eg talk to xx and do yy 3-4x a day). I’m also working through learning work that’s already been done by mgr, but no one on the team really understands his work/models well. Are my frustratiins

New job offer includes $25k worth of RSUs per year. What would be the cost basis? Not to understand the tax implications, but more so about how many shares I should expect after first year. Would they use share price on the day of joining or share price at the end of first year I.e. after fully vesting? Thanks!

I’m curious of everyone’s views on job hopping. I’m on my 3rd job and have ~3 years of sales experience. Each job change has been an increase in comp and has shown clear career progression. At this point I’m working for a well known public company in SaaS, in their SMB segment, which has been great. But I’ve been approached by a smaller startup offering to double my base salary, 2.25x my OTE, and equity for an enterprise rep position. This is very enticing, but would I look like a job hopper?
