Should I leave my PE gig and go back to Bain? I just started in PE a month ago after 2 years at Bain, and so far I’m not loving it. Higher stress, less team feel, longer hours. Looking ahead, I don’t want to be a VP in PE. If I go back to Bain for one more year they’ll pay for my MBA (already in at Stanford deferred), and I could see myself becoming a Manager+ there after. Really enjoyed my time in consulting, and with the MBA sponsorship the comp is similar. However, know I’m brand new to PE.
