I recently joined Capgemini at 13.5 LPA along with 1 lakh as joining bonus. It was a jump from 6.5 and I have 4 YOE with 2 yrs in React JS
Two questions that's been bothering me -

Did I settle for less as I can see people taking even bigger jumps with less experience?

My joining date was 15 September, so am I eligible for upcoming appraisal as the annual review is due by October 14 and I have just joined a project?

Please share your insights as I have looked for advice everywhere else.

Went from an ID sweatshop with a hard 200/month requirement at a 30 attorney firm to a coverage position at a 300 attorney full service firm. My hourly rate about doubled and the hourly requirement is about 145/month. Just want to say to all you ID guys that there is a way out. I actually beat out all the other candidates because I had so much experience doing everything as a new associate at ID because my firm just threw me into the wolves.

Anyone who had to pay back their signing bonuses (due to clawback agreements) and was successful in claiming the tax credits from IRS on the bonus amount that you returned? (Considering bonus was paid out in a prior tax year and not the same year as you leaving the firm) would love any advice on how to approach this/best way to maximise the tax credits!

Can we opt out of this?
I mean I want that part of component as in hand salary.

Should a remote job’s salary be based on where I live or the company? For instance, I’m interviewing with a SF company for a role that has the ability to be remote (I live in portland). They gave me the “portland range” when talking about salary. What if I later on decide I no longer went to be remote but come into the office and be in SF area. What’s the typical approach with salary for jobs that can be remote?

Just got pinged by someone offering me a Senior Director of Data Warehousing role in NY for $125K in NY. Holy smokes ... is that how bad DW salaries are?

Anyone in industry internal audit who could help? I'm looking for IA jobs coming out of public (1.5 years + CPA license) and wondering if I should be going for senior level positions. Most descriptions state 3-5 years experience required but when I read into them, they sound the same as what a senior in PA would do, which I'm fairly close to.
