I've got 4 years at a staffing agency after getting Masters in HRM and making a complete career change in 2018. Doing full cycle recruiting and account management. UK market is open only for niche skillsets ( Data engineer + analytics). Firms aren't interested in sponsoring rest all skill sets, as they can be filled internally. They have limited quota every year, and are very choosy when it comes to allocation. Preference is first given to EU nationals and then Asians during shortlist stage.

Referral works, but the person who is referring you should have enough clout in the organization to present your profile!

I think there should be more males caretakers in this world. Some of my clients just feel more comfortable with a guy and it's kind of sad how often they say I'm the only male they could find.

Hi there, I had a question about 401k or Roth IRA. Should I put money into anyone of the two as an international student? I don’t see the point because I want to invest my money instead of saving it. Plus I don’t even have a permanent resident status so I don’t know if it makes sense saving it for retirement. On the other hand, the employer match and so on sounds good. So should I save it and take it out later or just invest it?

Is rent downtown generally cheaper than Deep Ellum?
Looking at either renewing my lease downtown or moving to Deep Ellum. I’m wondering if I can negotiate Deep Ellum rent down by citing that my downtown apartment (similar amenities, sq ft, etc) is $400 cheaper. There’s only one building in particular I’m considering in Deep Ellum, I just can’t stomach paying almost $2k/mo for a regular one bedroom.

I heard from my head that there is a lot of slowdown in VW Germany... There is Hiring freeze, level freeze and all ... And soon that will spillover to india. So be prepared for very less hikes in coming cycle :( Also automotive sector in general is struggling with tesla laying off 10% workforce recently. Maybe time to make a move? What do you say fishes?

After rejecting big companies like Infosys,Wipro, etc. I've joined EPAM Anywhere due to wfh permanently and it's perks. But after spending 1 and half month HR called me to search the opportunity outside of EPAM, means they're laying off people. It's unfair behaviour of the organisation. I've given some interviews they're playing interview interview with me, for the hiring process technical interview then for project - technical interview, client process - starts from 1st Round.EPAM Systems

Interviewing for Amazon L6 PMT role. Levels seems to be a bit outdated or the bases are all low. Is L6 a lateral move for PL (manager)?
