so you want a bigger title, so you can do more work with more responsibility, but are cool not getting compensated for it?
okay, your call. i wouldn’t, unless i were using the title bump to get a job elsewhere.
Ya that makes a lot of sense actually, I’ll push for both and then if I can only get one maybe that’s the fallback, thanks for the info!
No, it means you’re doing more work for less money. You need to get the pay raise otherwise they’re going to keep taking advantage of you.
I don’t know what “sorting out the money situation” means but I interpret that as a bullshit way to string you along.

I would not put myself in a position where I was the worst paid 2-titles-above-me in the city, but ymmv
Focus on finding a new job rather than tilting at a title windmill
Good point, thanks for the response!

Take the title, grab the salary bump on the bounce.
Better raise starting at a new company vs existing anyway.
PM is right ^ this happened to many of my coworkers at my last job during Covid and most people left after waiting. The eventual pay bump some ppl got were so dismal it didn’t make up for the extra work they did for less money. Our ceo dared to say they’d do back pay 🤣 but most of the raises were 8-20%.

Happened to me, finally received compensation tied to industry standards for an AD, although I’m now more mid level and basically running projects.
And yet, I’d still rather leave the agency. I feel like I saw a lot of people at their worst and definitely think it’s time for a fresh start.
You think you’re due for two promotions in a year? 🤔
Ya true I guess that’s a good point
