Hello All,
I have recently joined FIS Global around end of April. My mother recently met with an accident and she needs to be operated.
I haven't been able to update the anything regarding the insurance part yet on FIS portal.
Will my mother's treatment be covered under the insurance? If yes, what's the procedure for the same? What are the documents that I need to submit in order to claim the amount?
Can anyone please guide?
Abu and Rajah.

1.) A pivot usually requires you use a skill you can offer, to get more duties you want.
2.) When you say health services I’m thinking like DHS. You want to do data analysis, deriving value, business insight from data, to potentially help leaders make decision or inform an audience. Google has a very cheap certificate in Data Analytics. You could test the waters without paying much. My wife completed it and decided to pivot to UX/UI, which she loved. It’s not likely enough to get you job ready but it’s a start.
3.) how to build a training program, find 20-30 examples of your dream job. Maybe it’s data analyst. Go to LinkedIn copy and paste 20-30 job requirements from LinkedIn to a word document. There should be some consistent asks from employers. Attach the document to your favorite LLM (ChatGPT) ask it to build you a train program of short term 1-3 months, mid term 3-12 months, and long term 12+ months goals in order to make you job ready. The reason this works is because the training plan is based on demand from actual employers. I call it reverse job search, but I made up the term. I’ve been doing it for years.
A final thought. A masters degree is a long road to end up pivoting. Avoid the trap of racking up debt but never converting it to a high paying career. Lots of professionals don’t use their degree. Just get the check box for having a degree. If you go more the technical route lots of us learned the majority on the job. You should be able to pivot without another degree, more debt.
Definitely look into certifications, they’re a great starting point!
Like Enterprise Architect mentioned, Google offers solid certificates to begin with. If you have the time, bootcamps in data analysis are worth exploring. They’re shorter than a two-year master’s program (around 6–10 months) but still provide a structured curriculum and foundational knowledge for your pivot. A few places you could look into that come to mind are General Assembly, CareerFoundry, and Springboard.
During the early pandemic, many career pivoters (myself included) went this route. I transitioned into UX design, and it’s been one of the best decisions of my life. That said, bootcamps are just the beginning, they’ll help you build foundational skills and a portfolio, but you’ll need to stay proactive afterward to keep momentum.
A career pivot feels scary, overwhelming and will take some leg work, but trust me, it will be worth it in the end! Happy holidays and best of luck on your journey!
