I have just been through this.
First question is, do you have any intention in staying? If not I would hand in your notice before speaking to anyone so they don’t put endless calls in trying to convince you to stay (these were extremely awkward)
They want to understand your reasons for leaving and if there’s things they can do non-pay relayed ie different projects
Not sure if this is helpful, but if you’re expecting a bonus in November but we’re going to quit first, you could take Future Leave. Unpaid leave but it doesn’t affect comp at all. You need to give 2mo notice typically if staffed, but sounds like they make exceptions. You could stop working, but keep the job long enough for the bonus vs quitting first
2 month notice? What region?
Thank you for the clarification. 2 weeks in the US.
Be careful joining Accenture
😂
2 months notice? What?
MD is the US is 3 months notice
It’s not unusual in a lot of countries to have longer notice period
Yes so I am expecting a bonus as my people lead said this. Well I would quit for 30.11, so meaning the bonus would be paid with the last salary in November?
Unpaid leave sounds good but what about paid leave? I heard from some colleagues that they were taken off projects and basically chilled for 2 months with full pay
Just go - they will not send legal after you - not worth it!
I left Accenture a couple weeks ago and was on client calls and commenting on deliverables down to my last day! Once you fill in the HR form, the clocks starts ticking and your IT gets restricted. Take your documents etc before giving notice. Your MD would probably schedule a call to find out why, be honest. The HR form also has some options to indicate why you're leaving. If you select something related to pay or promotions I suspect they'll try to convince you as its within their realm of control.
