Ik jobs are good and everything, but idk if you want to be a strategist at an agency where the CSO doesn’t like you. Even if it’s (probably) for some BS reason.

I agree with copywriter 1. Don’t go work at a place where the head of your department doesn’t want to hire you. It’s a losing proposition.

It's the CSO's choice. It might be nothing personal. Maybe they have a different take on what they need. There isn't a world where you override the boss and get hired against their wishes.
Oh, and for clarity I am not the CSO in OP's post.
