If this person isn’t your boss: “Hi, I’m happy to review your work and I’m impressed with how far you’ve gotten with AI, but I have a ton on my plate and I’d appreciate if you would review the content yourself before asking me to review. Sentences like ______ and _________ seem like they need to be completely rewritten to fit the intended scope of our work. I’m happy to look over a draft after you’ve been through and made initial changes.”
It's worth noting that this person isn't my direct supervisor, but they are ahead of me in org chart with their own direct reports
I don’t trust that AT ALL. Everything in a brief is written with intention, it’s the nuance and details that screw you
If you’re writing things over and over over the course of multiple briefs, that’s what copy and paste is for, or just use a pre-written template
Give them general guidance as feedback from each section that needs to be revised; don’t rewrite it yourself. Once you get the second draft, you can go in and mark up actual copy changes
Not sure if I would say that it's normal now but it's definitely something that we're seeing more of. Cut out any unnecessary fluff. ChatGPT tends to generate text that is more verbose than necessary.
I’ve done it on several occasions, but I also reread what AI spit out thoroughly
I honestly respect it. How many times have we all had to write the same sections over and over again. If an AI can do it and they can save time to work on more complicated things I am all here for it.
