No dice. It was just “there is an issue on this part” then I fix and resend… instead of having reviewed the rest they just read to the error…. So much back and forth for nothing

Anyone else have this flavor of wastefulness at their work?

I'll switch to a startup as the only data engineer and will closely work with all the Head ofs + the CTO.

Can anyone give me their honest opinion on working at Eli Lilly, the Indy site? I have a few coworkers that have worked there in the past but no one recently. I’m currently being recruited pretty seriously for a in-vivo technician position in the auto-immune team, but I already have a job lined up at Envigo as a small animal sx tech. Salaries would be comparable (Lilly would most likely be a little more with bonuses), but if the culture sucks, I’d hate to burn a bridge with Envigo.

I currently work at a large research institution and am in the process of getting retroactively reclassified to a new title (Long story but my PI is cheap and routinely pays ppl the bare minimum so now the Union is helping me w/ a retro reclass.) Reclass can take 2 - 6 months to process. Meanwhile, I am interviewing for industry job. If I get an industry job, what do I do if my reclass isn’t processed yet? I want the title and the money owed which may be about $15000- 20000.

I’ve heard electric cars aren’t actually as clean as they make them out to be since the electricity they use is still being produced by coal-powered plants. To what extent is this true? Is the reduced environmental impact worth the investment at this point in their development?

I’m really trying to break into method development roles and I haven’t had the opportunity to do so with my analytical experience.
