McKinsey & Company Anyone here working in cyber at McKinsey or BCG? Would be curious to learn about the work you do and whether you’re hiring/referring. Lots of exposure to c-level staff in planning and implementing a cyber strategy, so would be curious about a jump. McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group

Good idea if you get on a good client: Kraft, Best Buy, Allstate, Lowe's, Kelloggs, Airbnb, USCelluar are good ones here.
Great digital, data and analytics. Good but not great strategy and creativity.
Health Benefits are probably best on the business compared to Group M or Omnicom.
Lots of opportunity for cross client/department movement, a benefit of a Chi HQ vs other shops with NY HQ.
However. Not without its drawbacks - promotions seem to lean toward favorites of leadership vs merit, lots of group think vs autonomy to push boundaries, people culture is decent but can get clicky and some seem to look down on if you don't drink the koolaid.
Overall, if you're looking for a change could do worse than having experience at a top 5 agency on a blue chip client this early in your career
@LB1. Touché, it is very female, generally white and can get a bit clicky....but have you met a media agency that isnt?
You mean, Starcom Sorority?
Good clients, good benefits (and good compensation if you're supe level or above), but bad idea overall due to the culture/people. Looks good on your resume but people love shit talking about their experience at Starcom for a reason (it's like high school all over again).
Best Buy and Airbnb do not have good reps and Lowe's in a new biz win... careful. If you didn't start at Starcom I've heard it can be hard to assimilate.
Rather than accounts, who you work under I think matters the most to your success and general happiness. All of the accounts mentioned above have really solid leadership and. There are also a lot of ways to get famous by getting involved in various causes/employee groups. New management has also been really effective getting promotions and hiring decisions a regular thing unlike years prior. Like everything else it's not for everyone. I'd say the culture lends itself for extroverts to shine and it could be harder for an introverts with the same skill set to get the same amount of attention. This has gotten better over the years though and frankly this is probably true everywhere. I'd also agree with OMD if you don't grow up here it could be harder to assimilate. A lot of your success is on who knows you and what you can do.
You'll learn a ton and have a chance to network with some great people. Check out Spark as well in chicago. Lots of great momentum.
Do you know what you're interviewing for? It can be a good or bad idea depending on what you're looking for or what's open. In general, the culture is laid back compared to most agencies and teams/ departments are pretty close and have a good dynamic. Pretty collaborative depending which client team.
Best buy is a great team where you will learn a ton. Also has fantastic upper management. Obviously can be a beast around holiday time since it's retail, but if you want to be well rounded in this industry while still staying up to date in the programmatic and data space, it's a great team to be on. Agree that airbnb is awful though.
