You are not alone. I too lately have been think of do I stay or do I leave. My concern too is around contract limited compensation. It is hard in my opinion difficult to change your contract to one that is more profitable to obtain that higher salary as leadership usually doesn’t allow this to occur. The only way to resolve this issue is to realign yourself with a new team. On the flip side you should compare the total compensation that BOOZ provides (e.g., PTO, training, 401k match) vs the next opportunity. Lots of company don’t these parks at the amounts BOOZ provides. Good luck in what ever you decide as it is a difficult decision that I too am struggling with today
My day-to-day is fantastic and very easy to excel among my peers, but with 3 years in consulting, 3 years banking, 9 years military, and an MBA and I’m still under 6 figures total comp. I think they know the job satisfaction is high and can pay a lot less because the work is meaningful/impactful.
Same here. Seeing people on other contracts with similar background and experience and the same amount of time at the firm excel above you is frustrating. Like you I enjoy my work and I love my team, but upward mobility is important to me also. So I am left with deciding whether to stay or go.
I’m in the same boat too, currently in the process for interviewing at Deloitte. I love Booz, and my admin team, but I’ve been stuck on projects completely out of my service line with no end in sight. With Deloitte they have a clear promotion process, much more projects in my domain, not to mention a nice ~30% pay bump
What does Deloitte's promotion process look like? What are the criteria for promotion?
Left Booz and went to Deloitte because of lack of growth! Didn’t lose benefits as their PTO, comp pension was a huge selling point. Was a hard decision since I had supported Booz for a decade.
How you liking it so far? Mind sharing your market?
What is your comp situation. Other Fed focus firms might offer better situation with similar work
