I would demand a refund and then join the picket line in support for a living wage.
@consultant2 Most hotels are independently owned & operated as small businesses. These local owners work together to create franchisee associations that negotiate fees & revshare with corporate (marriot, hilton, etc)
It seems only logical that the workers do the same?
A person that represents themselves in court is considered a fool. Why should a front desk worker or housekeeper at a hotel not have representation for fair treatment and better wages?
You just need to go full Karen. And keep telling them it’s not enough points until you feel fulfilled. They may refund you or give you a free night instead of points though.
Marriott hotline the higher status the better you will fare. I’m guessing you had already raised the issue to the hotel itself or couldn’t due to the strike, so next step is the hotline/corporate

Since you already did: get a refund from the hotel since that will impact them the most. Additional points won’t be nearly as effective at that.
