Hello All, I have got an Offer from PWC as an Associate in the Advisory line of service. The team is mentioned to be Forensics. Wanted to check how is the team and what are the WFH arrangements. Also what is the hierarchy. Additionally they have offered me 9.5 as Total Base pay however i had asked for 11 as base. Can you guys suggest if i should ask for more ?

Does anyone use a brokerage account instead of a checking account? Mine offers a fee free debit/atm card and free checks which I'd rarely use but starting to question whether it is worth maintaining my "big bank" checking account that requires a $1500 minimum balance.

Sharing my experience with Deloitte USI interview and offer negotiation. I gave Deloitte interview 2 months ago. After managerial round I did multiple follow ups and Deloitte didn’t bother to reply. I moved on and got another offer. After 1 month Deloitte came back and asked for documents and didn’t show up for another 1 month. Today HR called and asked my expectations. One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

I find myself struggling the explain things with the same eloquence as my colleagues. How can I improve my consulting speak? Any recommended books?
