Would your spouse work in Canada? 96k is pretty low, particularly in comparison with 28lpa
No
I live in Canada for last 10 years. How much are you able to save out of 28 LPA? Is saving important for you (depends on your family background). 96k cad will get you good life in Canada but it might get little tight. 2 incomes are mostly desirable to support a kid. If you goal is just to save money and move back, then you might be able to save like 1 to 1.5 lakhs per month.
Savings is important but not priority
You haven't mentioned the benefits offered by each employer. My salary (U.S.) is worth another 20% because of my employer's health insurance contributions (I have 5 dependents), another 3% because of my employer's contributions to my 401K, another 2% for paid time off, etc...
I'd rather raise a family on a lower-middle-class budget with higher taxes in a country funded by a strong middle class than on an upper-middle-class budget in a country that relies more on upper-class taxpayers. The reasons sound vague but they come around when you're looking for a decent playground and they're all in gated communities, or a decent doctor and they all either too expensive or too incompetent. When it comes to raising a family, you really get what you pay for in taxes and cost of living.
Not sure if you're trying to disagree or affirm what I'm saying, but I'm basically saying Canada has better health care and other infrastructure, and it's worth the higher living expenses to have that.
India. Hands down.

India - you can do much better! Freedom of choice is unmatched - You cannot do much in Canada other than your work & stocks but in india you can do much more as you wish!
Rising Star
-I can decide to quit my job anytime and start a business
-I can do a part-time business
-I can switch my job without visa hassles
-I can have a cook and maid at 28 lpa
-My wife doesn’t need to depend on my visa status for her job
-I can take vacations to actually enjoy my time off from work not just to visit my parents
-I can take care of my old age parents in person than just sending them money to take care of themselves
There are many more to list but I couldn’t collate everything here and this is all listed based on my experience living in USA for 6 years. We all tend to go for glory, glitters and nice roads but we forget that it is coming at cost of freedom of choice & affordable services at your door step!
I totally agree that one may view it differently based on their financial situation.

What are your goals in next 5 years? Advice depends on that.
Could you elaborate on this
YOE and switch from to companies? 96 CAD is not optimum for someone moving with family

Companies?
Canada is a big country. Where in Canada ? If this is for Toronto, it is very less and if it is for Calgary, it is better.
Go tô Canada...if not for anything then for experience...if u don't like then u can come back
Canada, no brainer for long term

I am not sure about health insurance part - even though it is free it isn’t great as I have seen people coming from Canada to US for cancer or major illness treatments and market is not as big as US so people want to move to US on TN1 as soon as they get their Canadian Citizenship (Additionally, you would have to sell your farm lands in India as you need to relinquish your Indian citizenship).
There are interesting points to consider if you haven’t been to onsite at all but if you have a better living and passive income in india, move to Canada doesn’t make sense!
