Taking a flight tomorrow on an airline that doesn't have precheck. Thinking of buying a southwest ticket around the same departure time and cancelling my flight once I use it to get through security.

This is a pretty genius idea.

Why just go through regular security

like

I didn't think you could cancel a flight after you'd checked in. 🤔

like

What airline doesn't have precheck?

like

You can cancel a fully refundable ticket even if you have checked in and the flight takes off without you. I do it at least twice a week, I always book at least two tickets everywhere just in case.

I'm fine with taking the travel credit for southwest. Will this work?

It sounds a bit shady...

C1 - yes you can. I have done it on SW too.

I have had minor issues before in airports like Richmond, where the A and B terminals have separate security and I only get precheck on one of my boarding passes. They get annoyed if you use an AA boarding pass on the UA side and vice versa and are not very open to explanations.

RIC is the worst. Hate flying there every week.

Seems like a lot of effort for a minor inconvenience..

Not if your admin does it all

Anyone have any recommendations on how to get a better deal? Any discount codes? Thank you in advance!!

She’s on my leg and she’s snoring, but I don’t want to move since she looks so comfy. I’m her slave. Planning her birthday— go to the dog beach + eat at a restaurant with a doggie menu + get a pup cake at a dog cafe + spend a night at a hotel (having trouble finding hotels that’s allow dogs >50lbs 😒). What else can I do for her? She has too many toys & doesn’t play with them often. No need for more treats since she eats more treats than kibbles. But what gift can I get her?

Hello travellers!

I have a third round interview this Thursday, but after I sent my availability, I booked a flight for work that is causing a problem. The interview ended up scheduled for 3:30-4:15, and I'm supposed to be on a 5pm flight out of LGA. Is there a reliably quiet place at LGA to do the interview (I don't have lounge access)? Would it be a bad idea to say my availability changed and I can't do that time slot anymore? Or should I cancel / rebook my flight to later at night?
