Taking PTO shouldn’t feel like you’re creating extra work or stress for your team, yet a lot of people still hesitate to use the time they’ve earned. Do you fully disconnect when you take PTO, or do you still check messages just in case?

PTO is a good time to unplug.

Just no I disconnect and don't plug back until I come back

I do my best to not be available and not pressure myself to check messages. But it's tough. I don't like feeling like I'm causing anybody else stress because of my workload and wanting to take time off.

I try my best. But it’s hard. If I’m only taking a day or two, I can usually disconnect completely. However, if I’m taking an extended PTO, I had to check my email daily.

That’s ass-backward

I disconnect, I literally shut my system down and place it and my laptop in my bag and in a closet. I literally let my customers know I will not be here from x to z. I put all of trust into whomever i chose to back me up while im out of office and I make sure it's someone who is familiar with how I work my claims so there are no screw ups. I enjoy my time off. It's difficult to take time off and not think about work but it's bc it is necessary.

Hi fishes!! My joining at EY GDS is in 1 month and I have received an email related to background verification from first advantage.
* Is that the correct website where we need to provide all details for background verification? * * Also for permanent address should we give current address or permanent home address ? If they come for residence verification what do they ask or check?

However I have recently found out I am being paid the same as an apprentice on my team, I usually do at 3 x the work he does whilst also doing my Cert CII. It has really disheartened me and I feel I should be earning more money
