Taking the Beginner AWS Cloud Practitioner certification exam this weekend. Went through the standard course offered by AWS, I think I have a good understanding.

Is there anything else I need to prepare? Is this exam anything crazy?

It’s not hard, but it covers a lot of material. I would say do some practice test of udemy to make sure you have a good grasp on the various names or services and practices that AWS uses

Second this. They deny course by Stephane is great and helped me pass.

If you are taking it remotely, make sure to have nothing on or near your desk, be in a room where you can close the door, and make sure you are able to film the whole area you are in. It takes a bit of time so don’t expect to just sit down and take it.

like

So you have background in cloud and/or AWS?

Worked on cloud related projects a little bit. I don’t think I am a cloud sme in any way

Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). Have you ever taken a career slow down? I am feeling burnt out from COVID and the incremental responsibilities thrown my way over the last 5+ years. I feel like my health has deteriorated. I like my company, but I want to do less. I don’t need to be a HR Director, CHRO, etc. With a career slowdown, I am prepared for a lower compensation and would want decent benefits. Any lessons learned or success stories about career slowdowns?

Hi all,

Joined back TCS after Sabbatical leave (higher education).

Current designation is System Engineer and role tagged on Ultimatix is Developer.

Assigned to a project as BA (orally, on paper it's just Team Member). Raised a re-fitment request to HR.

Please throw some light on the re-fitment process and what I can expect depending on my qualification.

Qualification:
> TCS : QA/Jr.BA (3yrs)
> M.Sc : CS (University of Alberta, Canada)

Thanks

Hi ME 🐠s! Would like to know a bit regarding Business Analyst roles in MBB, T2 / B4 firms in UAE. Would the stated firms consider me for a BA role (lateral hire as an experienced BA)?

Does anyone have any tips on certain job positions or companies where an LLM would prove to be useful with my background?
I'm starting to feel quite stuck in this situation and it's very demoralising.

I just started with a company as an HR Generalist. Within the 3 weeks of being there, my boss’s boss left, and today I found out my boss gave notice. HR is not valued at the company and it’s disheartening to know I was hired into a mess. I am now actively looking but how do I explain to other employers why I am actively looking and what do I put on my resume? I have never had to deal with this before.
