Are you in NC or SC?

Nope. Nowhere near flooding.

If I was home sick without tv or internet I'd probably start praying for it to be terminal

Heading into benefits open enrollment and beginning to receive current provider renewal percentage increases (medical and dental) as well as market offers from other providers. Curious what other employers have experienced and hoping to receive successful negotiating techniques. My company is too small to receive claims experience data from the provider. What % increase did you see for a small to mid size company?

Pregnant with verbal job offer - how to negotiate maternity leave? I am only a few weeks pregnant and I have a great job offer. There are two points I want movement on (1) equity (2) maternity leave. How do you develop healthy financial boundaries with parents? My mother made a lot of sacrifices for myself and my sister growing up but she’s starting to feel like a burden. She’s just refused to go for more in life mostly because she’s been in a financially, emotionally and on one rare occasion, physically abusive relationship. It’s not that I don’t want to help her but she’s getting older and I’m trying to save for possible medical expenses. I have an account dedicated to that which — cont’d

My sister and I are 29 and 31, respectively. I’m struggling with something that has irked me our entire lives. My parents pay for things like her dog’s medical bills, vacations and moving expenses. They always want to help. The problem is they’ve never offered to pay for those things for me, and I’ve never asked because I’m a fully grown adult and don’t want them to spend their retirement on us. She has savings and isn’t struggling financially. Why does this bother me so much?
