The NYC heat laws need to be changed. So sick of being light headed from heat blasting in small shops and my own apt with the windows open

No in New York I think we can make it

Jealous of the heat! I live in a single family house, and it's cold. Like if I set up 71F, the thermometer says 67F.

like

Same, I keep it at 62 cause these gas bills are insane

Dude, your exaggeration is ridiculous. Worst case the heat is set to like 75, maybeeee 80, if that’s making you lightheaded you need to see a doctor. 75 degrees is not excessive heat, most of the world lives in significantly warmer climates than that

like

85 degrees of forced hot air constantly can absolutely make people sick

Your NIMBYism won’t work here. Sorry

As a moron

like

You need to contact your super to repair the valve on your radiator so you can turn it off. The building can be fined for lack of heat, but not for too much heat. You can call 311 to make a complaint, but don't be surprised if they laugh at you.

It’s off. That’s my point, we should be fining for too much heat, it’s dangerous

I was recently promoted, and now part of my team report to me. I'm now able to see their pay rates and I am honestly so disappointed in the company. Especially since we just gave annual raises in Feb, plus we can all see where the money is going and it's not to the employees. Makes me sick

I have often wondered if being honest when I fill out EEOC / diversity forms if that limits me from new work / promotions. I used to be able to hide my disability, but it is progressive so now it's not as easy to hide. Thoughts?

I accepted a new job, they said PTO was “generous.” I find out it’s 19 days a year of PTO (which includes sick days). I have two young children and we like to vacation 1-2x a year (no more than a few days away each time). Am I crazy that this is pretty limited time off? 8 of the normal holidays off during the year (working the week between Christmas and NYE). Thoughts? I dont know if lack of PTO is a good reason to back out, is it?
