I attended a couple of rounds of interviews for Software Engineering Manager 1 (as the JD said) on a quick schedule and wonder if I should have asked next level instead.

YoE - 15, Hands-on EM, can code, do project and people management
Tech - AWS and .NET

Also an indicative range of CTC I should ask for will be helpful. Currently I'm underpaid at 20.1L as I worked in the same company for 12 years.

Has anyone implemented SAP S/4 Hana Stock Room Management (replacing WM)? I have a client going to 1909 and trying to decide if they will move to SRM or try to do a scaled down version of EWM.

Looking to transfer into a client associate role (unregistered at the moment, but willing to obtain). Currently have ~1.5 YOE in valuation (financial statement analysis, modeling, etc.) I get that those skills could be unrelated to a CSA role, but I think there could be some similarities. Junior associate here (2L). Got some ‘constructive feedback’ from a 4L. We went over budget on a matter, and 4L thinks it has something to do with my inefficient delegation to 0Ls (and not the all the out of scope work the client asked us to do but doesn’t want to pay for...). Delegated tasks included basic grunt work like splitting out documents, preparing execution versions and other low-level tasks. 4L asked me to check with them before I delegate anything in the future. Thoughts?

Witnessed ageism in a unusual way. I am a P, Male, 51
Client counterpart and I were discussing a Consultant and the client told me he didn’t want this guy because the consultant is in his 50s. I quietly told the client that cannot be a reason plus I am in my 50s and you should have seen the client back paddle with compliments for me. Just a weird situation. Ageism is real.

I am working as React Develpor in IBM ISL(India software Labs ) with decent WLB. Recently got an offer from EY GDS with 30 percent hike. Role : Senior Technical lead .
Being a married female, i am little bit concerned about WLB in long term.

As a junior, how do you deal with the anxiety that the advice you provide to a partner based on your research (that is being sent to client without much supervision) could be wrong or incomplete?

Is there an appropriate way to turn down an assignment because it is non-billable? Two of the partners I work for keep asking me to write client bulletins and articles with them, which is great, but now I’m starting to worry about meeting my billable hours requirement.

Investing in big law: I just started working and since student loan interest is frozen, how do we invest that money in the meantime? I mean I’m sure between now and the end of January, I won’t make huge investment gains, but I would like to have my money work for me. I’m maxing out my 401(k) but I want to invest anything over that. The only thing I know about investing is Robinhood lol. Also pre-tax 401(k) or roth 401(k).
