Favorite books about creative leadership?
I work at a preschool that redirects disruptive students by giving them a book to calm down and regroup. Do you think this is a good practice or does it ultimately lead the student to see reading as punishment?

Looking for a newer fully licensed (with some training and at least a small book) junior advisor/associate financial advisor to join team. Please message if interested or have lead. Thx

Latest episode posted! “Generals in the Making” is a gem of a leadership book and should be required reading for any early or mid-level professional. The book is an engrossing examination of how four army generals of World War II, each a major player in their own right, navigated the uncertain and tumultuous pre-war years in their careers. sphttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/black-market-leadership/id1523238553?i=1000533915181
Looking for an art partner to come in at the ACD or what my agency calls “group art supervisor” level. Fair warning: it’s pharma, but business is really healthy and leadership usually fights really hard for creative that doesn’t involve couples strolling down the shoreline hand-in-hand :) Hit me with your book if interested
I’ve hit an absolute brick wall when it comes to finding for a new job. I’ve had almost a dozen interviews that lead nowhere and been ghosted by a ton of recruiters. Would anyone be available to look over my book and give me some advice? 🙏
Want to learn how to start valuing my more and focusing on high ROI activities as a young professional. Any Partners/MDs/Senior Leaders have tips for a rookie or books they’d recommend?
I have a strong junior book and won a Gold Pencil in the Young Ones recently, but can't seem to find a single job lead anywhere. Anybody know who in LA I should reach out to?
Does anyone have any books recommendations on personal or career development? Anything that helped shaped you for a leadership position down the line? Thanks!
There's a ton of self help and leadership books out there to help people in their careers. If there was one that was written front the lense of a public accounting, would you read it?
Interviewed with EJ, RJ, and Stifel as a new advisor. which to pick? EJ offering way more base up front with small goodknight to start. RJ’s fancy AMP training program is just slap a yellow pages down and start dialing with little to no practice building training. Stifel seems similar to RJ, with less hidden customer fees, more flexibility on customizing your fee schedule per customer, and there is a possibility of the lead FA in the office retiring out soon with his 120m book.
Looking for recommendations on a good book/resource on how to manage people, especially when you’re managing teams to achieve tight deadlines and also overall leadership for those teams. Currently on a project with tight regulatory deadlines and feel like I’m struggling to push people without pissing them off. Great learning curve for me and a good read seems timely. TIA!

I have interviewed with several start-ups pre-IPO/acquisition and asked about equity and they have all said 'no'. Fellow runners - I’ve been running 3-4x per week at about a 20-25 mile/week for the past year or so.
My questions: (1) does it make sense to take a week off and let myself rest or do other workouts (i.e. cycling) and (2) I’ve been running with the same shoes since August last year - make sense to get new ones?

I started with Deloitte as SC in May, since then I was staffed on a project for a while. The project has ended now. I am on bench and my utilization is around 35%. I have been looking to get completely staffed since I have joined with no luck. My current status is, no billable project with utilization of 35% and September will be my 4th month with the company. How long do I have until Deloitte starts taking notice/action regarding low utilization.
Would a dual MBA/MS in an Engineering science give me a better shot at a VC firm like Sequoia Capital?
My ACN recruiter told me they’re putting me on hold for the time being for when they have a need for a Business Analyst like myself. I totally understand/agree where he’s coming from - companies should prioritize internal people first. But he said we should keep in touch once a month during this time. So I’ve made sure to reach out once a month, either through email or a call. But for the last 3 months he has stopped answering calls/emails. I make sure to only reach out once and not bombard cont
