Glad to hear it is working well for you. It is always nice to know that advise that is given does not go to waste and worked.
We're all in this together
Can you explain or link to original post. What’s a pee alarm?
Malem Ultimate PRO Pink... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078C78RZR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
“The lightweight alarm is clipped to the shirt top and vibrates and makes sound continuously, once urine is detected, until the 2-step turnoff is completed.”
OP just trying to follow without seeing original post, how does the alarm work? Wakes the child to pee? Less frequent sheets to change and less frequent alarms as the child prefers to sleep?
What it does is it wakes the child just as they start to urinate. This helps condition the brain to wake when the urge to go is signaled from the bladder.
Most children who are potty trained, but still going in their sleep at night, have a disconnect between the brain and bladder during sleep, and this device helps make that connection.
We used it for a 5 yo boy and saw results in two weeks, which is pretty fast.
One trick I learned is that you put on the child's regular underwear, attach the device, the put on a pull up. This allows the device to function and let the child feel the sensation of being wet, while at the same time keeping the sheets dry.
Great explanation A1!
