Hello Everyone!
I have done my bachelor's in mechanical engineering and master's in engineering management for process excellence from the uni of Glasgow and uni of Strathclyde respectively. I'm currently looking for jobs and have 2 years of running my own company. I'd be glad if anyone can help me with this and guide me accordingly. It would be ideal if I could get anything in process/operations but I'm flexible and am open to explore new areas.
Regards,
Aman

First off it's not a silly question but a very legit one. My advice would be communicate on time that you are going to be a bit late and you need more time so that they can know how to proceed without you or at least until you get there. Just make sure it does not happen several times because now it won't seem believable moving forward. Plan your time to wake up earlier than usual if you expect traffic or any form of details.
Best Wishes!
I'm never late, so I think mine would be understanding. If that's true for you too, I'd expect the same from yours. Just give them a heads up if you know or think you'll be late. It happens and shouldn't be a huge deal.
I'd suggest calling or texting the office as soon as you know there's a problem. I think anyone understands that public transportation can have problems and there's not much anyone can do about it once you're stuck in the mess. If it's something that happens often, you may hear suggestions to find a more reliable route, but if it's an isolated event it probably won't mean much.
