Those that exited to MBB from big 4, is it worth it? Thinking about the long hours and pressure

Has anyone gone from Accounting Advisory to Deals Accounting Advisory at an Investment Bank? Is this a move that makes sense? I'm assuming the hours expectations would be crazy if it's IB?

Will most of us (big 4 employees) be in at least the 200k+ salary range once we hit our late 40s and early 50s? I know that MOST of us won't stay with our firms, but does that mean we stagnate?

I got rejected for an interview from Big 4 NY Audit, even had referrals from Manager + level people. 3 years w/ audit senior at mid size firm, 2 years fed tax at big 4, and 1.5 years Internal Audit healthcare. Currently self employed for a year to work on investing. Do I literally need a partner level referral to get back into Audit? I thought there was an accountant shortage.

I’ve also worked and still currently working for great healthcare company’s. I also have lots of great healthcare data experience. My only concern is no degree. What can I say to recruiters that will WOW them or replace the fact I have no degree because that’s what most of these company’s require.

After 3 years of consulting I am officially burnt out. What are some areas/roles that I can exit to that would be less stressful?

For me personally, I have come to the conclusion that mental health and WLB is more valuable than any dollar amount a firm can offer me

I was just talking to a younger friend who goes to Cal and It seems like the kids these days hate FAANG or at least Amazon and Facebook are not desired at all. I personally don’t see too many issues working at either Amazon or Facebook because I work at Deloitte where I’m sure we have many questionable clients and worked in financial services before. Curious on whether people are thinking about the ethics of their exit company when deciding to move?

If you’re in the final stages of interviewing with multiple companies at the same time and they inquire about other offers and interviews, should you tell them? Obviously not who the other company is but at least that you’re interviewing / expecting another offer?

Life / Career Advice: I applied to medical school since my MCAT score was set to expire, ended up getting into 1 program. I also have an opp to join a well funded/well established Healthtech Startup (6 figure salary w/ equity + benefits) as a BD professional. I enjoy the business side of things and am unsure if I would end up practicing Medicine (medicine is also a long arduous path). At the same time, having an MD holds a lot of clout/authority in HC. 2) How do I organize my engagement experiences - All combined bullets or separated by client?
3) How about my internal efforts? (I did 3 internal projects within the firm)
4) Education on top or bottom?

Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? A company along those lines.

I have the opportunity to exit to a Product Manager role at a PE-backed software company (noname co w ~$5-10B rev). Pay is at $150k base. Seems like an interesting industry. However, I kind of just stumbled on this and am apprehensive about leaving BCG after just a year out of undergrad. I’m also unsure how stock grants play out when working for a portco. Had conversations with 3-4 teams so far, many times great feedback/compliments even during the team matching chat, but no successful match yet. I am told that there were internal candidates that fit the role better. The wait on since May, starting to lose hope now. Is team matching supposed to be this hard?
