Hi, I am being offered 27L + 2L Variable for Manager (M1) at KPMG India. Will I also be eligible for year end performance bonus? Or is variable pay the only amount that I’d be eligible for?
Am I being lowballed by the HR in terms of offer ? Approx 8yoe currently at 21LPA (recently promoted) KPMG KPMG India

Say that reminds me of the quote…”Those who lack knowledge criticize.”
I could have, but decided to make a difference instead.
Those who can’t teach make critical comments about things they know nothing about? 🤷🏽♂️
Try doing without someone teaching you
Who says that to you? Your students? Family?
I’ve heard the saying but don’t have anyone with the balls to say that to my face.
I’ve never been good at come back so I asked AI for some
Here’s one: "How quaint. I guess Einstein, Plato, and da Vinci were just a bunch of failures then, right?"
"Ah, the classic. Well, if that's the case, then those who can't come up with original insults must resort to clichés."
I will add though…anyone who disrespects teachers isn’t worthy of a response. Knowing me I’d probably say, “Thank you for sharing” and keep it pushing
I think that anyone who uses that line without any hint of irony is actually not even worth your time and mental energy. It doesn't even make sense, how are we suppose to pass on skills and knowledge without people who take it as their purpose to teach all of that? It's literally nonsensical, and it's just used by people who want to put down others. Teaching is doing when you're doing it right.
You could go pedantic on them if you want. It’s a misquote from Aristotle: “Those who can, do. Those who understand, teach.”
Richard Feynman more recently said, “If you can’t explain something in simple terms, you don’t understand it.” So those who don’t understand make do. Those who understand and can thus explain teach.
As Twain (mis)quoted Disraeli, “Lies, damn lies, and statistics.” At this point, I’ll give you the point. You’re almost certainly right. 🤷🏽♂️
“Just try it”
I don't deign to comment. They haven't taken the time to investigate educating a whole classroom of students. Helping their kids with homework doesn't come close to a classroom experience.
I taught with a woman who said this at least once a week. She also said that students needed to be trained like puppies with a swat on the rear with a rolled up newspaper. She was a bitter person everyone steered cleared from.
That is why many schools have done away with tenure.

Watch this, it will help:
Well, as I teach my 1st graders to use their inner dialog, we talk about our "filter" they all know this saying "my brain is my filter, just because I think it, doesn't mean I have to say it". So they must not have a brain...
I hate that saying too although I will say I don't hear it as much as I used to. Honestly whenever I do hear it I jsut roll my eyes and go about my business. I just don't let it get to me.
