My kids watch TV all day. 2.5 years.
We used to put the tablet in front if them with lullaby as early as a few months.
Can we be better parents... sure... but two working parents with twin toddlers, we are doing a hell of a good job. They are bilingual, count, know letters, run, play.
Feel free to judge. We are fine with what we are doing.... ever since my wife was scorned for not being able to produce enough milk for two, we kinda dont give a f*ck. We love our kids, take care of them, and make sure they are happy and growing.
Everything in moderation. No more than 30 - 60 min a day is fine
It obviously won’t kill them. But avoid it as long as possible.
We worked an episode of Daniel Tiger into our daughter’s routine around 2. Lunch, episode, nap. Screen time has increased since the.

I have also seen that dual working parents tend to be more draconian on TV because they don’t want to pay a nanny to watch TV with the kids. Although they say it is because of some study / pediatrician blah, blah, blah.
I think common sense should prevail here. Do what feels right for your family situation. Every person you ask will have a different opinion.
6 mo seems early to me. We started at 1+, thought she'd just watch some animal stuff on a tablet on a flight but she had no interest. We've since worked to get her to understand and be interested in TV/tablet, but it happens on drives or flights. She's 2.5 now and doesn't ask for it but she'll be entertained by it for a bit when we offer it to her.
We used screens to help feed the kids. Did what worked
